ST. PAUL, MN. (April 4, 2014) – The Affinity Plus Foundation is now accepting nominations for its Financial Literacy Cultivator Grant. The $1,000 grant will be awarded to one teacher or school, and one community group, and can be used for financial education materials or supplies.
“In its introductory year, the cultivator grant helped the Affinity Plus Foundation form partnerships with people and organizations in our state that are passionate about helping others receive a financial education,” states President, Dave Larson. “This is such a big part of our Foundation’s mission, which is why we decided to offer this grant opportunity again.”
The grant is open to all applicants who meet the submission requirements and provide answers to the following questions:
- Why is financial education important?
- Why is this teacher or school, or community group, deserving of this grant? Please provide stories and examples.
Nominations for the grant can be completed and submitted online here: https://www.affinityplus.org/foundation/grant-nomination. Nomination forms can also be picked up at any branch location and returned to the branch, or mailed to Grant Program Administrator, Sandy Olson, at 175 W. Lafayette Frontage Road, St. Paul, MN 55107.
Nominations for the Financial Literacy Cultivator Grant will be accepted until April 30, and the recipients will be notified via email and on Affinity Plus’ website on the News & Events page on May 16.
