(St. Paul, MN) June 10, 2011 – Everyone is trying to save money these days, and many consumers fear the lack of resources with the latest economic downturn will prevent any advance toward building a solid savings balance. Affinity Plus decided to make the ability to save money, even just small change every day, a simple task and one that can be done without even really thinking about it.
Stash Your Cash provides a simple and basically painless method of saving for all Affinity Plus members with an active checking account. Every time a member makes a point of sale purchase, the dollar amount is rounded to the nearest whole dollar and the excess change is aggregated at the end of each business day and transferred to the share account of their choice. There’s no fee for this service, and once enrolled, members do not need to do anything further to begin saving money.
“We recognized in today’s economy it is often hard to find a little extra to save. This new program does the work for our members by letting them save through the spending they are already doing. We’re proud to provide a product that helps our members achieve their saving goals, even when money may be tight”, states Kyle L. Markland, President/CEO.
Stash Your Cash was launched to all Affinity Plus members on May 2, 2011. Approximately 300 members have enrolled since the launch. Members can enroll in this program through online banking, via the phone, or in any branch.
