After 87 years, Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union changes name to Revity Federal Credit Union

GREENSBORO, NC (May 9, 2024) — Greensboro Municipal Federal Credit Union has changed its name to Revity Federal Credit Union, continuing its 87-year-long commitment to members with a name that focuses on inclusion and community.

“After COVID we reflected on how not just the financial industry changed but how all businesses and consumer behaviors changed. We knew we needed to do something different to stay relevant to our members and business partners,” said Jerry Wise, President & CEO of Revity FCU. “We wanted to make sure everyone knew about our inclusivity, all while staying true to the credit union philosophy of people helping people or, like we say it, Making Lives Better.”

The “Making Lives Better” vision directly ties into Revity FCU’s new mission statement, “Wherever you are on your financial journey, we will meet you there.”

“Revity is a combination of revitalization and community. It speaks to our mission and vision of using financial education and meeting people where they’re at to empower our members and the communities we serve,” said Board Chairman Gregory Jenkins, II. “Much like the city itself, we are evolving to embrace a brighter financial future for everyone.”
