Align Credit Union collects stuffed animals for Amesbury Police Department’s Drive

Align Credit Union is pleased to have supported the Amesbury Police Department’s Stuffed Animal Drive during the month of October. Align collected over 100 new and unused stuffed animals at their Amesbury branch at 19 Haverhill Road. The stuffed animals will be given to children who are accident victims, crime victims, crime witnesses, coping with loss, sick or injured or have experienced a traumatic event.

“The Amesbury Police Department appreciates the community efforts of Align Credit Union. Sometimes police officers handle calls involving children. Being able to comfort them with a stuffed animal is a tremendous benefit,” said Amesbury Police Crime Prevention Officer, Tom Hanshaw.  “The small toy provides a calming presence in what can be a very traumatic time. Thanks to Align, several children in the community will also receive a new toy this Christmas season. It is wonderful to have such dedicated and caring partners in our community working to make Amesbury a safer and better place.”
