LOWELL, MA (March 27, 2014) -- Align Credit Union is pleased to announce that Boston Bruin Milan Lucic made a special visit to two area Boys & Girls Clubs on Tuesday, March 25th.
Lucic visited children at both the Lowell and Haverhill clubs. During each visit, Lucic talked about his recently released children’s book, “Not Cool to Bully in School,” which was sponsored by Align. To write the book, Milan teamed up with wife Brittany, as well as Cleon Daskalakis, President of the Celebrities for Charity Foundation and Jon Goode of the Lowell Spinners. The illustrations were done by Rachel Gregorio. All proceeds from the sale of the book go to charity. Lucic also answered questions from the children, took photos and signed autographs.
“We are pleased to work with Milan to bring special experiences like this to our communities,” said Align President and CEO Ken Del Rossi. “His work ethic and community involvement make him an excellent role model for all youth.”
“We are so grateful to Milan and Align for making this day possible,” said Brian Theirrien, Executive Director of the Haverhill Boys & Girls Club. “This is an experience these kids will never forget.”
