Recently, the Northwest and Gulf Coast Chapters of the League of Credit Unions, along with a team of dedicated vendors and partners, came together and hosted a golf tournament to raise funds in support of Children’s Miracle Network and their mission to meet pediatric healthcare needs in the community.
Raising almost $50,000, the tournament brought competition and camaraderie on the green, with teams showcasing sportsmanship and supporting community throughout the day. After a thrilling round of play, Gulf Winds Credit Union emerged victorious, claiming first place with standout performances from Brad Tanberg, Scott Slattery, Josh Hornsby,
and Jarred Chandler. Eglin Federal Credit Union secured second place, thanks to the strong showing by Mike Davis, Mark Kilbride, John Cagle, and Hunter Nichols. Rounding out the top three, Pen Air Credit Union took third place, led by the team of Trey Steelman, Travis Decker, Houston Ramsey, and Kevin Choe. From the energy on the course to the overwhelming support of the tournament, this truly showcased the power of community coming together for a great cause.
Supporting initiatives that grow a healthier tomorrow is important to the Northwest and Gulf Coast Chapters of the League of Credit Unions. The Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) supports more than 170 children’s hospitals nationwide and remains committed to keeping 100 percent of donations within the local community.
“Studer Family Children’s Hospital is our region’s local Children’s Miracle Network hospital, and we’re so grateful to have the League of Credit Unions Golf Tournament support of our patients and families,” said Michaela McCarthy, Children’s Miracle Network Coordinator. “Every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy, and through the generosity of events like this, we’re able to provide the care, comfort, and hope children need to heal, no matter their circumstances.”
