Alliant Credit Union announces successful merger with General Drivers Credit Union
DUBUQUE, IA (November 2, 2015) — Two Dubuque credit unions, Alliant Credit Union and General Drivers Credit Union, have successfully merged effective November 1, 2015.
The credit union will continue as Alliant Credit Union (ACU). The former General Drivers Credit Union branch at 1828 Central Avenue closed its doors for business on Friday, October 30, 2015. The employees from the former General Drivers Credit Union branch will be relocated to one of the three Dubuque Alliant Credit Union branches.
This merge gives nearly 700 former General Drivers Credit Union members access to a broader depth of products and services, like electronic, real estate and financial advising services, as well as seven branch locations.
Mike Moroney, President/CEO of Alliant Credit Union commented, “We’re excited to welcome all General Drivers members to Alliant Credit Union. We hope these members take advantage of all the conveniences ACU has to offer and take a moment to learn about the services that are new to them, like mobile banking, student loans, business loans, financial advising services as well as mortgages and home equity loans from our award-winning real estate department.”
