LONG BEACH, CA (October 10, 2019) — Allied Healthcare Federal Credit Union (AHFCU) announced today that it has received approval from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) to expand its field of membership to all employees, independent contractors and self-employed persons who work regularly in the healthcare industry in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and Kern Counties in the State of California. Both active and retired healthcare workers are eligible to join.
Previously, membership was only open to healthcare workers at select employee groups in Southern California.
Allied Healthcare Federal Credit Union has been serving members since 1956. It currently has three branch locations with a fourth location scheduled to open in Long Beach, CA in 2020. The credit union caters to members from all geographic locations by offering online, mobile and audio banking as well as the ability to perform many transactions at more than 30,000 ATMs and 5,000 shared branches through the CO-OP Network.
