Altura Credit Union Debit Card User Wins $5,000

(Riverside, Calif.) March 2, 2011 – Altura Credit Union recently announced that Rosario Inzinga, a member from Riverside, won $5,000 for simply using her Altura Visa Debit Card.  Every time an Altura Visa Debit Card holder used their card to make a purchase between Jan. 1 and Feb. 10, they were entered to win $5,000 in the “Cha-Ching” Visa Debit Card promotion.
 
“We want our members to know that Altura’s Visa Debit Card is not just to a tool for accessing their accounts or getting cash from an ATM,” said Jennifer Binkley, Altura chief operating officer.  “This promotional campaign was designed to show members how easy it is to use their Altura Debit Card for everyday purchases.”
 
A member since 2005, Inzinga, a mother of two, said the money was a welcome surprise.
 
To be eligible members needed an Altura Visa Debit Card and checking account. They also had to register their card through Altura’s Web site to participate in the promotion.
 
Altura Credit Union’s products and services are available to its members. Individuals can join Altura for a one-time membership fee of $15. Membership is open to persons who live, work, attend school or worship in Riverside and San Diego counties and selected cities in San Bernardino and Orange counties.  As a credit union, Altura is a non-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members.
