Altura Credit Union supports 44th Annual Military Picnic with volunteers and sponsorship
RIVERSIDE, CA (October 11, 2016) — More than 30 volunteers from Altura Credit Union recently helped honor military personnel and their families at the 44th Annual Military Appreciation Picnic at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, Calif. More than 4,000 people attended the event that was created to thank military men and women for their service while also recognizing the sacrifices their families make.
Altura is a major sponsor of the picnic, which is coordinated and hosted by the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce for personnel assigned to the local air base and their families. The picnic is free thanks to the many local and military-related businesses that underwrite the event’s costs. Hundreds of volunteers ensure the event’s success.
The picnic is held at LeMay Park on the air base and featured a BBQ lunch, a water zone, popsicle station, live music, and Kid Zone featuring a miniature amusement park, inflatable play structures, face painting and more.
