Altura Credit Union’s Hemet Branch Supports Relay for Life
(Hemet, Calif.) June 20, 2012 – A team of employees from the Hemet branch of Altura Credit Union recently participated in the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life.” The 24-hour event raises funds to fight cancer.
According to Altura Regional Lead Diana Duncan, the Hemet staffers have participated in this event for several years. “It’s a great cause and the event is really fun. We are really happy to be part of it,” Duncan said. She served as Team Captain for Altura’s team of walkers.
This year 25 Altura staff and family members participated in the relay itself. Altura also had a booth on site. The team raised $613 for the American Cancer Society through the relay and related branch-based fundraising.
