Amber Crisp earns Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) Designation

GREENVILLE, SC (July 13, 2023) — Spero Financial is proud to announce that Amber Crisp, VP of Remote Services, has earned her Credit Union Development Education (CUDE) designation. This program, originating in 1982, is designed to equip participants with deeper insight into the credit union movement. This accomplishment is recognized throughout the industry as a prestigious mark of achievement.

Crisp shared, “The Credit Union Development Education (CUDE) program was an immersive experience into the credit union difference, development issues, and empathy. Participating in the DE Program helped me gain insight into how our credit union can be leveraged to help our members and the communities we serve to overcome financial barriers and the development issues they face.”

According to the National Credit Union Foundation, this graduating class joins over 2,000 CUDE designated graduates from across 35 countries.

As a result of their tremendous efforts, Crisp, along with 48 other participants in June’s graduating class, have a deeper commitment in propelling the mission of the credit union movement forward.

“It was inspiring to watch credit union leaders from all over the country come together in a pursuit of advocacy and financial well-being for all!” Crisp said. “I look forward to taking action and helping to amplify the work that Spero Financial is doing in our communities!”

In addition to her CUDE designation, Crisp is also a graduate of the Southeast Regional Credit Union Schools (SRCUS) leadership program and Leadership Anderson – 32nd Class and was named Independent Mail’s Top 20 Under 40 Emerging Leaders. In her community, she serves as the Vice Chair of the Board for Meals on Wheels of Anderson County and member of the Alumni Board for Anderson University.
