American Eagle donates $2,500 to the Black Giving Circle Fund at the Hartford Foundation of Public Giving

Supporting the Black Giving Circle means bolstering our Black communities in honor of Black History Month

EAST HARTFORD, CONN (March 1, 2024) — American Eagle Financial Credit Union (AEFCU) donated $2,500 to support the Black Giving Circle Fund at the Hartford Foundation of Public Giving. The donation—to the Black Giving Circle Fund—supports programs that create sustainable change in the Black community.

“American Eagle is passionate about enriching the lives of all of our members,” said Howard Brady, AEFCU President & CEO. “We have over 183,000 members, many of whom are part of the Black community. It is incredibly important for us to partner with the Black Giving Circle Fund, and we know this donation will make a meaningful impact thanks to their efforts.”

The Black Giving Circle endowed fund was created in 2015 to provide a collaborative way to give to programs that address critical issues in the Black community. Their mission is to “create sustainable change in the Black community by leveraging the philanthropic efforts of donors and celebrating Black philanthropy.”

“Supporting the Black Giving Circle Fund aligns with American Eagle Financial Credit Union ‘s commitment to financial freedom, emphasizing our economic empowerment of marginalized communities,” said Patty Mason, Vice President, Real Estate Lending at AEFCU and Executive Sponsor of the People of Color One Team Resource Group at AEFCU. “By contributing in honor of Black History Month, we not only celebrate and recognize the profound impact of Black heritage but also reinforce our mission to foster equality, opportunity, and financial well-being for all.”
