American Heritage Credit Union hosts their Kids-N-Hope Holiday Banquet raising over $53,000 for the Kids-N-Hope Foundation

PHILADELPHIA, PA (December 21, 2017) — American Heritage Credit Union’s Kids-N-Hope Holiday Banquet and Golf Classic raised $53,480 to benefit the Kids-N-Hope Foundation. Over 100 sponsors and business partners came to celebrate on Tuesday, December 14, 2017 at the PineCrest Country Club, in Lansdale PA. American Heritage normally hosts its Annual Gold Classic in October, but due to inclement weather, the event had to be canceled. Subsequently, the Holiday Banquet was formed in absence of the golf outing. The Foundation supports the Music Therapy Program at the Children’s Seashore House of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and other area hospitals in its Workplace Partner Program.

Sponsors, Business Partners, and Community Members enjoyed an evening of networking, a holiday dinner, and bidding on items at the silent auction. The purpose of the night’s event became a reality when Melissa Doliner came up to the podium. Her son, Colin, has been battling cancer for our 7 years whiling being treated at CHOP, and she strongly told her son’s story. Emotions filled the room, but she hit it home by saying that the Music Therapy Program is one of the few things that keeps Colin smiling during his treatments. The night’s event concluded with the Director and Coordinator of Cause Marketing and Children’s Miracle Network at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Julia Wicoff and Francesca Cosmi, shared the importance of the Music Therapy Program and how the children benefit from the program.

Founding the Kids-N-Hope Foundation in 1996, American Heritage became the first credit union in the country to form its own charitable organization. American Heritage is consistently recognized within its industry as a state and national leader in community involvement and corporate social responsibility. After years of charitable donations, American Heritage has been able to raise over $1,400,000 for the foundation.

American Heritage Credit Union hosted its Inaugural Kids-N-Hope Banquet and raised $53,480 to benefit the Kids-N-Hope Foundation, a foundation that supports the Music Therapy Program at the Children’s Seashore House of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and other area hospitals in its Workplace Partner Program. The event was held at the PineCrest Country Club in Lansdale, PA. Business Partner Enterprise Car Sales made a special donation of $5,000 to the Foundation.
