PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 19, 2015) — American Heritage Federal Credit Union hosted their 6th Annual Red Cross Blood Drive on October 9, 2015 on their main campus located at 2068 Red Lion Road, Philadelphia, PA.
American Heritage employees were given the opportunity to donate blood to support the American Red Cross. Employee’s family and friends were also invited to participate. On the day of the event, 30 donors gave blood with 20 of those being staff members. We’re proud of our employees for helping our community and the cause. We want to thank the American Red Cross for allowing us the opportunity to host this event and honored for our continued work with the organization.
American Red Cross Biomedical Services is the largest single supplier of blood and blood products in the United States, collecting and processing approximately 40 percent of the blood supply and distributing it to about 2,600 hospitals and transfusion centers nationwide. The Red Cross also plays a leading role in protecting the safety of donors and patients and increasing the availability of blood.
