American Heritage’s 26th Annual Gelatin Olympics set for Wednesday, June 12 to benefit the Kids-N-Hope Foundation

June 11, 2019 – Join American Heritage Credit Union (American Heritage) at its flagship charity event on Wednesday, June 12 at 6:00 P.M., and take the ultimate plunge into 1,000 gallons of strawberry gelatin at the 26th Annual Gelatin Olympics. The fundraiser is taking place at Cannstatter’s, 9130 Academy Road, in Northeast Philadelphia.

This event serves as the primary fundraiser for the Kids-N-Hope Foundation, which benefits local area hospitals in American Heritage’s Workplace Partnership Program, including the Music Therapy Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Gelatin sliders, who gather pledges from sponsors in the weeks leading up to the event, dress up in their zaniest costumes, and take the plunge into a pool full of 1,000 gallons of bright red gelatin. In addition to the Ultimate Gelatin Slide, participants can also enter the Gelatin Eating Contest and Gelatin Balloon Toss. And, members of the community are welcome to attend this event and enjoy food, games and live music!

This year, Alicia Vitarelli, 6ABC’s co-anchor of Action News, will emcee the event, so come out and join the fun! Last year’s event raised over $45,000 to support the Kids-N-Hope Foundation, so come slide or support the 2019 sliders! A $25 minimum donation is required for sliders of any age and if a slider raises at least $50, they will receive an official Gelatin Olympics T-Shirt.
