American Heritage Credit Union employees and membership collected over 10,000 pounds of food and donated $23,000 to various charities and organizations in the community during its 10th annual Spirit of Giving Food Drive. Additionally, over 200 meal boxes and $20,000 worth of $100 visa gift cards were donated to help local families this season as well.
Nonperishable goods are traditionally in a higher demand during the holiday season. Coupled with inventory challenges and inflation causing prices to increase, American Heritage set an aggressive goal of collecting food donations throughout October and November to ensure that organizations in our community were able to continue providing necessary meals and nourishment to local families.
Thanks to the generosity of members, employees and community partners, donation baskets overflowed with contributions. As a result, 19 local food banks and pantries across Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware, and Camden counties are receiving much-needed food donations.

In addition to the food donations, American Heritage donated over 200 meals to service groups that support local families and gifted a total of $20,000 in gift cards to those families as well. American Heritage donated 20 meals and 20 $100 ShopRite gift cards to each of the following organizations:

Over 8,000 lbs. of nonperishable food items and $23,000 in donations were distributed to 19 local food banks, pantries, and organizations.

Over 200 meals and $20,000 in gift cards were donated to service groups that support local families throughout the region.

Benefiting organizations include Liberty Lutheran - West Philadelphia Senior Community Center (pictured), Philadelphia FIGHT, Resources for Human Development Carson Valley Aid, and more.

Each organization received 20 meals and 20 $100 ShopRite gift cards to be distributed to families the organization supports.
