GLENDORA, CA (August 20, 2013) -- America's Christian Credit Union awarded their quarterly adoption grant to the Lyles family after hearing the inspiring story of their adoption journey.
While taking the last trip to pick up their newly adopted daughter, Maida, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, they met Severine. Severine is 8 years old and it was unlikely she would be adopted because of her age. Fortunately, the Lyles family connected with Severine and formed a loving bond. Almost a year after bringing Maida home, they are making the long journey back to the Congo in a few days to complete their family with Severine.
America's Christian Credit Union began their adoption ministry in 2009 and since then has helped make possible to some 900 adoptions through their financial assistance. Every purchase made with an Adoption Grant VISA card contributes to a special fund for adoptive families, which is given out quarterly in the form of a grant.
