America’s Credit Unions honors MCU with 2026 Diamond Award for “We’re Here for It” Campaign

Launched last year, the insight-led, multi-channel brand campaign delivers standout growth and cultural resonance across New York City.

Municipal Credit Union (MCU) has been awarded a 2026 Diamond Award in the Complete Campaign category by America’s Credit Unions. The award is one of the credit union industry’s highest honors, recognizing exceptional achievement in marketing strategy, creativity, and results.

MCU earned the award for its bold “We’re Here for It” campaign, which celebrated the  hard-earned wins of everyday New Yorkers and positioned the credit union as a relatable alternative to national banks. Rooted in authentic, city-driven storytelling and brought to life across digital, CTV, outdoor, radio, search, and social, the campaign broke through a crowded market to deliver both cultural relevance and measurable impact.

In just six months, the campaign drove a 66% increase in awareness, 60% increase in consideration, and a 25% year-over-year increase in new members, exceeding performance goals and demonstrating the power of integrated, insight-led marketing.

Presented at the Marketing, PR & Development Council Conference in Aurora, Colorado, the Diamond Awards recognize credit unions that achieve outstanding results through innovative, member-focused marketing.
