AMOCO Federal Credit Union receives awards from local chambers of commerce
TEXAS CITY, TX (February 17, 2016) — Friday, Feb. 5, concluded in a night of victories for AMOCO Federal Credit Union after receiving awards from the League City Regional and Alvin-Manvel Area Chambers of Commerce.
League City, Texas-based AMOCO wrapped up a successful year, and to top it off they were recognized by the League City Regional Chamber as Business of the Year.
Shawn Bailey, AMOCO’s CEO, noted that the credit union’s 2015 accomplishments exceeded his expectations. As the leader and influencer of the company, Bailey encourages AMOCO to be the best service provider possible and to have strong community involvement.
Bailey’s leadership skills have not gone as unnoticed either. The League City Regional Chamber also recognized him as their Business Professional of the Year. Bailey accepted his award with support from his wife Susan, daughter Ashton, and many others present to honor him at the Chamber’s

annual banquet, “Tailgating for Excellence,” which was held at Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook, Texas.
That same night, Culture and Communications Manager Kevin Venable accepted the 2015 Chairman’s Choice Award from the Alvin-Manvel Area Chamber of Commerce. Venable has been part of the Chamber board for only one year.
AMOCO has been a member of this chamber for close to eight years and plans to open a branch in the Alvin area sometime in 2016.
