AMOCO Federal Credit Union was awarded the first ever Large Business of the Year Award by the Texas City - La Marque Chamber of Commerce.
AMOCO has seen incredible growth in the past 80 years. As it was once considered a small business, AMOCO has grown from $28,000 in assets in 1937, to nearly $1 billion in assets in 2018. AMOCO has gone from 176 members, to nearly 85,000 and from 1 branch to 10. In 2018, AMOCO was also voted Best Credit Union and Best Mortgage Lender by Galveston Daily News readers, and Best Loan Store by the readers of The Alvin Sun & Advertiser.
AMOCO’s growth and expansion would not be possible without the leadership of Shawn Bailey, President & CEO, and the Board of Directors.
