Annual Youth Month promotion celebrates record engagement

Marshall, MI (June 2, 2026) |

Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) celebrated record engagement during its annual Youth Month promotion held in April. With more than 700 youth members taking part, MCCU awarded over $9,900 through account incentives, deposit matching, and member rewards.

As MCCU celebrates 75 years of partnering with members for financial success, Youth Month reflected its commitment by encouraging strong financial habits and rewarding young members for actively engaging with their finances.

“At MCCU, we know that confidence with money starts with experience,” said Laura Santos, CCUFC, Community & Youth Engagement Manager with MCCU. “Youth Month is designed to encourage kids and teens to stay engaged with saving, spending responsibly, and building healthy financial habits early in life.”

Throughout the month, youth members were rewarded for actively using and growing their accounts, whether through making deposits, opening new accounts, or taking steps toward greater financial independence. The yearly promotion is available for all Credit Unions to use as they see fit. In addition to Youth Month, MCCU is proud to provide youth financial wellness year-round through member engagement, school partnerships, and community outreach efforts all focused on helping youth build confidence with money.

“This promotion is always exciting because it celebrates positive financial behaviors in a way that feels encouraging and rewarding,” Santos added. “As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we’re proud to continue investing in the next generation and helping young members build habits that can benefit them for years to come.”
