Apple Federal Credit Union Receives 2011 Business in Education Partnership Award

FAIRFAX, Va.—On Saturday, March 26, 2011, Apple Federal Credit Union won the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce Business in Education Partnership Award. Apple was one of six companies nominated for the prestigious award which honors businesses that are committed to supporting teachers and helping students become competent, creative and constructive citizens within the community.
Apple’s Reality Store program at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School and a student run credit union branch at George Mason High School provide real-world learning experiences for students. Apple also sponsors several “Welcome to Falls Church” programs for new teachers. According to Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School teacher, Rory Dippold, Apple Federal Credit Union employees are known for “generously donating their time, their Reality Store program, money and support to the Falls Church Public Schools.”
