ST. PAUL, MN (August 18, 2016) — The Affinity Plus Foundation is accepting applications for fifteen $1,000 Cultivator Grants for school teachers and other community educators across Minnesota who incorporate, or want to include, personal finance or financial education in their curriculum or programming.

Applications are being accepted through Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016. Funds will be distributed by Oct. 1, 2016. Individuals can apply themselves or nominate other teachers and educators. Grant funds must be used for current or new financial education programming or curriculum.

Previous grant recipients have used funds to expand personal finance curriculum at an alternative learning center; support financial-education sessions for adults; and purchase curriculum to teach low-income youth, among many others.
