Credit Union honored with 13 Hermes Awards
PHOENIX, Ariz. –Arizona State Credit Union is the recipient of 13 Hermes Creative Awards, including four platinum awards, for its 2011 creative campaigns.
The Credit Union’s “I Don’t Bank, I Credit Union” home and auto campaign earned two gold awards and three honorable mentions. The campaign was introduced to raise awareness about the importance of local financial cooperatives. It proved so successful that it became the theme of the Credit Union’s television commercials, which aired in Northern Arizona.
A platinum award was given to the Credit Union for its communication program announcing a strategic partnership with the Arizona Sundogs hockey team. The Credit Union partnered with the minor league team to pay five fan’s mortgages throughout the season as a way to give back to the Prescott community the Credit Union serves. With a tight economy and some struggling to meet their monthly mortgage payments, the Credit Union combined the excitement of hockey with the reward of a budget-boosting mortgage payment to relieve financial burdens for a few lucky Sundogs fans.
Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition honoring creative professionals who concept, write and design traditional and emerging media. The competition is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), which oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
