PLANO, TX (September 21, 2016) — Arkansas Federal Credit Union has named Martin Schrodt as its new chief operating officer, effective Monday, Oct. 11, 2016. Credit Union Resources conducted the executive search for the $1 billion dollar credit union.
Martin’s credit union experience and expertise in operations will be a valuable asset to the executive team at Arkansas FCU. His passion for business process improvement and using data analytics to better understand market trends will help Arkansas FCU continue to provide exceptional service to its members.
Martin Schrodt comes to Arkansas FCU from FSG Bank (a Division of Atlantic Capital Bank) out of Chattanooga, Tenn. Martin was responsible for P&L for three business lines, namely, retail and consumer banking, mortgage banking (coast-to-coast), and government-guaranteed lending (SBA, 504, 7a, USDA).
During Martin’s tenure at FSG, he increased mortgage company income by more than $1.5 million dollars in two years, as well as the construction loan business by 400 percent in less than 24 months. He developed and implemented a licensed banker program, which facilitated sales of annuity and life insurance products in branches and generated $250,000 in first-year sales and $330,000 in its second full year. Martin oversaw transformational executive leadership, organizational development, realignment and restructuring, revenue, income, profit optimization and growth, and program/department development and rollout.
Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Kentucky. He was named Top Consumer Sales Manager and received the award for highest scores for customer service from Regions Bank (2009 and 2010). He was also acknowledged as the MVP for Highest Growth Market at Integra Bank (2003).
