Arrowhead Credit Union delivers school supplies and backpacks to help local kids
SAN BERNANDINO, CA (August 5, 2016) — Many Inland Empire homeless children will begin the school year with brand new backpacks filled with school supplies, thanks to a donation from the team at Arrowhead Credit Union.
Arrowhead Credit Union team members donated 6,300 school supplies and filled 100 brand new backpacks in support of the HomeAid Inland Empire’s Full Bellies, Warm Hearts event and the Operation Grace Community Day to help local children living in shelters start the new school year well prepared.
“The bright smiles today brought back memories from my childhood,” said Renee Hunt-Moore, Arrowhead team member, “It was a heartwarming moment to share in the excitement for all of us.”
HomeAid Inland Empire is a nonprofit organization that works with various service providers to renovate and build shelters to temporarily house homeless individuals and families who live in the Inland Empire. The backpacks and school supplies were distributed to Operation Grace and Veronica’s Home of Mercy, located in San Bernardino County.
