Associated Credit Union Foundation Delivers a Combined $20,000 to Two Charities

NORCROSS, Ga.,…Dec 23…The Associated Credit Union Foundation donated a combined total of $20,000 to the Norcross Co-op Ministry and The Quinn House located in Lawrenceville yesterday.

 Director of The Quinn House, Gene Brinkley accepted its $10,000 donation, “Wow! We are excited and very grateful for this contribution and the things it can accomplish. It was such an amazing surprise when Associated Credit Union’s President and CEO came by to present the check!” he said. C. Lin Hodges, President and CEO, and Tim Bridges, CFO presented the donation.

The Quinn House provides housing for the homeless and also offers a 40-day drug and alcohol rehabilitation program to any individual that needs help getting back on their feet and re-entering society. It’s also a licensed food bank that assists families and senior citizens who are in need.

The Norcross Co-op Ministry helps to provide food, clothing, prescription medicine, and financial assistance for those who may be in crisis.  The co-op also hosts programs like, ESOL classes, job searches, case management, and referrals to other service providers in the county.

Shirley Cabe, director of the Norcross Co-op, accepted its $10,000 gift, “We are truly thankful, this will help so many families.” she said.

The Associated Credit Union Foundation is the first charitable foundation among credit unions in Georgia. The Associated Credit Union Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that strives to promote the social and economic well-being for the community and the employees of companies providing credit union membership to their personnel.
