Associated Credit Union and Georgia Bulldogs’ Defensive Back, Malaki Starks, team up for the credit union’s second name, image, and likeness (NIL) partnership. Through public relations campaigns and community outreach projects, the two-year agreement will pair the organization’s core values with Malaki Starks’ elite performance, strong character, and philanthropic interests to promote the credit union’s financial offerings and community involvement.
Associated Credit Union, the fifth-largest credit union in Georgia, has a 93-year history of delivering excellent service to its members, employees, and community.
C. Lin Hodges, Associated Credit Union’s President & CEO, said, “This new partnership will provide more opportunities for us to positively impact our community. We are privileged to partner with yet another remarkable young man to continue to support ACU’s mission and vision.”
Malaki Starks, a true freshman and 2022 Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year finalist, stunned the college football world with 69 tackles and 2 interceptions in his first season.
ESM’s President Dan Everett, who represents Malaki Starks, commented on why the young athlete trusts Associated Credit Union as his preferred financial institution and newly acquired NIL partner.
“Malaki is proud to have Associated Credit Union as his first major NIL partnership. The emphasis on exceptional service that ACU consistently delivers in the financial space directly aligns with Malaki’s mindset on and off the field.”
Malaki Starks, a Jefferson High School graduate, appears on the 2023 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List. This prestigious award recognizes college football athletes for their stellar performance as defensive players on the field and as champions within their communities.
