Atlantic Federal Credit Union president Roger Sirois retires

After more than 30 years of dedicated service, Roger Sirois is retiring as president of Atlantic Federal Credit Union. Roger began as a teller and quickly moved into leadership positions. In 2008 Roger was appointed CEO of the Credit Union. In 2019 Roger successfully guided Atlantic into a merger with York County Federal Credit Union. Roger leaves Atlantic in a position of strength to successfully serve the growing membership of 49,000+ Mainers.

In addition to his longtime leadership at Atlantic, Roger has also had a positive impact on all Maine credit unions for more than 36 years, having served on boards for the Maine Credit Union League and CUSO Home Lending.

In his announcement to the Board of Directors, Roger stated, “I wish all the people I have worked with the best and feel confident that Atlantic will continue to be successful and an integral part of our community.”

Atlantic Chief Executive Officer, Scott Chretien, commented, “Roger has played a critical role in the growth and success of Atlantic Federal Credit Union, and his commitment to all Maine credit union members has always been a priority. I congratulate him on his accomplishments and thank him for helping to build an outstanding organization.”
