ATMIA establishes international ATM Marketing Committee

SIOUX FALLS, SD (January 22, 2015) -- Marketing an ATM-related company can be a difficult task. Keeping up with new ATM technology and government regulations, and changes in social media platforms and search engine optimization are just a few of the challenges marketing professionals face on a daily basis.

To assist industry marketing professionals, the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) has established an international ATM Marketing Committee.

“Many industry marketing professionals have difficulty convincing upper management to invest in marketing," says Rebecca Hellmannmarketing strategy for mid-level and community financial institutions for Cardtronics and chairman of the new committee. "The ATMIA marketing group will work to provide information via conference calls, webinars and on-site meetings to help inform industry marketing professionals about the latest marketing tips, tricks and trends as well as ATM news, new technology and other developments.”

The mission of the new group is to promote communication between marketing professionals, educate members on advances in marketing technology and techniques, and provide them with the information they need to more effectively promote their company.

The inaugural meeting of the ATMIA Marketing Committee will be held Tuesday, February 17 in Las Vegas during ATMIA US 2015. The group will meet at 10:15 a.m. in the Calabria room.

"I encourage anyone who has a hand in marketing to consider joining the group," says committee co-chair Alicia Blanda, chief marketing officer with Blanda Marketing and Public Relations.  "We have an exciting line up of guest speakers and educational webinars planned for 2015, and will hold an award program in 2016."

Marketing professionals who would like to sign up can contact Sharon Lane, ATMIA global director of finance and member services, at (605) 271-7371 or at sharon.lane@atmia.com. Committee membership is open to all employees of ATMIA member companies.
