ATMIA launches portal for global ATM Industry Champions
SIOUX FALLS, SD (May 23, 2016) — ATMIA today announced the launch of a new portal for honoring ATM Industry Champions in a bid to provide global recognition while encouraging good industry citizenship and leadership.
“In my fifteen years in the ATM industry, I’ve been privileged to meet many champions of industry,” explained Mike Lee, CEO of ATMIA. “From the man responsible for installing the world’s first ATM back in 1967, John Shepherd-Barron, to the entrepreneurs and thought leaders today who continue to bring about innovation in our industry, I’ve been continuously impressed by the men and women who’ve helped shape our technology, build markets around the world and ensure ethical, good governance.”
The new portal will be a permanent feature of the ATMIA website. It features individuals who have contributed over time to the development, growth and overall health of the ATM industry.
“We’re only getting started with this form of recognition,” Lee added, “and the door will always remain open for new nominations.”
The portal’s long-term purpose is to encourage the global growth of champions of industry.
“Just as we discourage apathy, negativity and any damaging conduct, so ATMIA strives to shine a light on the great things happening in the industry which created 3 million ATMs for the world – and the awesome individuals who make these developments happen!” Lee concluded.
Nominations may be sent at any time to mike@atmia.com.
