COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (June 3, 2014) -- Aventa Credit Union is pleased to announce that Shannon Mendes has accepted the newly created position of Business Relations Manager and Corporate Trainer. She previously held the position of Training and Development Manager and has been an associate of Aventa Credit Union for the past six years.
In Mendes’ new role, she will focus on maintaining and growing Aventa’s relationships with current Select Employer Groups (SEGs) and cultivating new relationships with local businesses. Mendes will also continue to facilitate mandatory internal training to Aventa associates and will also provide financial literacy education to school districts and city and county employees.
Mendes serves on the Board of the Pikes Peak American Society for Training and Development as their Vice-President of Sponsorship. She is also active in many local non-profit organizations including Care and Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado, Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado, Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity and many others.
