Capitola, CA (April 2, 2026) |
Bay Federal Credit Union is celebrating Youth Month this April with its “Save a Little, Grow a Lot” campaign, a series of interactive experiences, creative programs, and community events designed to help young members build strong savings habits in a fun and engaging way.
Throughout the month, Bay Federal branches will come to life with youth-focused activities that encourage hands-on learning. Young members ages 0 to 17 who make a deposit can participate by setting a savings goal, earning a small prize, and adding their goals to in-branch savings walls. Bilingual savings tracker bookmarks will also be available to help youth and families track progress and reinforce positive financial habits at home.
To inspire creativity and connect financial wellness with self-expression, Bay Federal is hosting a youth sticker contest open to elementary, middle, and high school students across the community. Students are invited to design a sticker based on the theme “Save a Little, Grow a Lot.” Winning entries will receive cash prizes and additional funding for their school or nonprofit of choice.
Families will also have the opportunity to participate in special author readings and book signings featuring Tilly the Troll’s Shopping Spree by Christina Davis. The event will take place at the Capitola library on April 25, offering an engaging way to introduce financial concepts to children through storytelling.
“Youth Month is an opportunity for us to connect with families and make financial education approachable from any age,” said Amanda Gamban, Bay Federal’s Community Engagement Manager. “By creating experiences that are interactive and fun, we’re helping build confidence and healthy financial habits that can last a lifetime.”
Bay Federal Credit Union remains committed to supporting financial wellness at every stage of life, with a continued focus on empowering the next generation through education, creativity, and community engagement. For more information, please visit bayfed.com/youthmonth.
