Bay Federal Credit Union opens applications for 2026 education scholarships

Up to four students will receive $2,000 to support education and career training

Capitola, CA (January 27, 2026) |

Bay Federal Credit Union is now accepting applications for its 2026 Education Scholarship, designed to support local students pursuing education and career training opportunities after high school. Up to four individual recipients will each be awarded $2,000 to help cover expenses directly related to their continuing education.

The scholarship is open to Bay Federal Credit Union members in good standing, including graduating high school seniors, high school graduates, college students, and those enrolled in trade or certification programs. Applicants must be accepted to or enrolled in a part-time or full-time program for the Fall 2026 term at an accredited college, university, or trade school.

The application deadline is March 6, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a review panel and notified by April 10, 2026.

The application process includes a completed application, required supporting documentation, and a short video submission centered on financial wellness. Video prompts encourage students to reflect on the importance of financial wellness or explain a key financial topic relevant to young adults.

Applications and full eligibility requirements are available at bayfed.com/scholarships. Scholarship recipients must provide proof of enrollment to Bay Federal Credit Union by October 1, 2026, to receive their award.

Since its inception, Bay Federal’s scholarship program has contributed over $94,000 to local students, affirming the Credit Union’s commitment to the community.
