Bay Federal Credit Union has hired Scott Nguyen as its new Assistant Vice President of Collections. In this role, he will develop and nurture relationships with Bay Federal members who may be experiencing significant financial hardship or loss and provide options and programs to assist in their time of need.
Bay Federal has a variety of payment assistance and foreclosure prevention programs to assist members, which has been even more vital during the pandemic. Nguyen will lead these programs and assist with Bay Federal’s responsible overall management of credit union assets.
Nguyen has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services and collections industry, with a successful track record on implementing new technology to improve efficiencies.
“I wanted to be a part of a credit union that embraces data and technology to improve the member experience,” Nguyen said. “I believe Bay Federal and their philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ is aligned with my goals and vision.”
“We are honored to welcome Scott to Bay Federal,” said Bay Federal Credit Union President and CEO Carrie Birkhofer. “His extensive background in asset management along with his track record of building relationships with members will bring our financial assistance programs in our community to a new level.”
