Belvoir Federal Provides Thanksgiving to Soldiers on Ft. Belvoir

Woodbridge, VA, November 22, 2010  ¾  On Thanksgiving Day, Belvoir Federal Credit Union will personally cater a smorgasbord of Thanksgiving dishes to fifteen soldiers who are unable to take leave during the holiday season due to their meticulous training on Fort Belvoir.

The CEO of Belvoir Federal, Patricia Kimmel, and the Director of Branch Operations, Judy MacDonald, discovered these young men and women would be unable to go home for the holidays at a meeting the week prior to Thanksgiving. “These soldiers sacrifice so much for their country, serving them a warm meal on Thanksgiving is the least we could do. We simply wanted to bring them a little piece of home,” stated Mrs. Kimmel.
