Benecke announces retirement from Wildfire Credit Union

SAGINAW, MICHIGAN (September 7, 2023) — Longtime CEO of Wildfire Credit Union, Timothy Benecke announces plans to retire in the first half of 2024. Benecke joined Wildfire 15 years ago as President and CEO, following positions as CEO of Financial Edge Credit Union and vice president of Dow Credit Union. With more than 47,000 members and 185 employees, the credit union has re-branded, completed several building projects, and is implementing a state-of-the-art digital platform. Benecke also served on the Michigan Credit Union League Board of Directors for 15 years.

The Wildfire Board of Directors has retained D. Hilton Associates to assist in a national search for Benecke’s successor.
