Black Hills Federal Credit Union (BHFCU) believes it is imperative to support the passions of its staff. That’s why they promote the staff-led Community Action Team (CAT) program and are proud to share that staff raised more than $3,100.
Last month, the CAT program focused on supporting organizations that help kids and families. The effort raised money for and volunteered with four organizations, Special Olympics of South Dakota, Youth and Family Services, EmBe’s Dress for Success Sioux Falls, and Make-A-Wish South Dakota & Montana.
“Our team of five co-chairs got creative planning events to get staff involved this month,” said Meghan Rose, Marketing Specialist. “From setting up a nine-hole disc golf course at our Corporate office to assembling 100 Playdough Kits, the BHFCU crew had fun while helping others.”
CAT co-chairs organized a women’s clothing drive for EmBe’s Dress for Success, the assembly of at-home Playdough Kits for Youth and Family Services, a disc golf tournament for Make-A-Wish, and several volunteer opportunities for Special Olympics. All these efforts amounted to 250+ clothing items, 100 Playdough Kits, 35 hours volunteered, and $3,100 raised.
BHFCU supports community needs through corporate contributions, employee fundraisers, and donations from members and community supporters to the Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
