Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley Region (BBBS) welcomes their new Executive Director, Peri Tyink, who started Monday, November 14, 2011. “We are very excited to have Peri join the BBBS mission. Her passion and dedication to developing the youth in this community is inspirational. She will make an immediate and long term impact on the organization, the staff, and all of the individuals touched by the BBBS Agency,” says Laurie Butz, SVP of Human Resources-Community First Credit Union/Personnel Committee Board Chair.
Peri comes to us with a background rich in fundraising, youth development, sales, media, and leadership. Peri has a great passion for kids and is excited to continue serving youth through the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission. As a member of the Fox Valley community for 25 years Peri has touched the lives of many through her involvement with the Renaissance School for the Arts, Appleton Area School District, and most recently as the Director of Development for the Boys and Girls Club. “Staff looks forward to the many ways in which Peri will advance the mission of the organization,” says Jeri Kukurich, Associate Director. “From the moment a child is matched with a caring adult through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley Region mentoring program, a life is changed forever. The professionally supported one-to-one relationships have a measureable impact on each and every child. I am honored to be part of an organization that is transforming futures, one child at a time,” Peri Tyink, Executive Director.
Please join us in welcoming Peri to the Big Brothers Big Sisters family!
Mentoring works! Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley Region is the premier youth mentoring organization in the area, serving Calumet, Outagamie, Waupaca and Winnebago Counties. The agency’s mission is to “assist youth in becoming competent, confident and caring individuals, through relationships with caring mentors.” Since 1968, this non-profit organization has professionally matched children ages 6 and up with volunteer Big Brothers and Big Sisters. In 2010 alone, we served 632 youth through a positive one to one mentoring relationship. Mentoring empowers and inspires children and our goal is for all children to achieve success in school and life. For more information, visit www.bemybig.com.
