BMI Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that Sarah Bach, a dedicated employee and community leader, has been named the 2025 Veteran Champion of the Year by the Westerville Chamber of Commerce. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional advocacy, leadership, and lasting contributions in support of veterans, military families, and survivors throughout the Greater Westerville community.
Through her role as Vice President of Business & Community Development at BMI Federal Credit Union, Sarah has spent more than a decade championing initiatives that honor service members and uplift the families of those who have sacrificed so much for our nation. While not personally connected to the military through service or family, Sarah believes it is her responsibility to give back to those who have protected our freedoms. That belief, combined with BMI Federal Credit Union’s strong commitment to community service, has driven her work supporting organizations such as The Fallen 15 since 2014 and Folds of Honor since 2020.
One significant way Sarah’s impact has been made possible is through BMI Federal Credit Union’s support and partnerships. She leads the BMI Federal Credit Union Scholarship Golf Open, an annual event providing educational scholarships for the families of fallen and disabled service members. The event has raised more than $400,000 over the past 10 years, helping families through partnerships with Fallen 15 and Folds of Honor. In addition, as a board member of Fallen 15, Sarah has played a key role in organizing and overseeing memorial gatherings, charity races, and family engagement events.
Sarah’s leadership, combined with BMI Federal Credit Union’s continued investment in service and advocacy, has strengthened connections across Central Ohio, preserved the legacy of fallen heroes, and inspired others to give back.
