Royal Credit Union (Royal) President and CEO, Brandon Riechers, was presented with the UW-Eau Claire Alumni Association President’s Award during the university’s 2021 homecoming celebration. Riechers was selected to receive the President's Award for his outstanding professional and personal achievements as well as his service to UW-Eau Claire.
Riechers is a University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire alumni having earned bachelor of business administration degrees in business finance and management information systems, and a master’s degree in business administration from the university.
“As a proud Blugold, it is an honor to receive this recognition from the Alumni Association,” commented Riechers. “I am very thankful for the high-quality education I received at UW-Eau Claire and the many opportunities I have been given to use what I learned to make a positive impact in the community.”
Riechers joined Royal in 1996 while he was still a student at UW-Eau Claire. During his 25 years with the credit union, he has worked in a variety of areas including branch operations, compliance, IT and training. Prior to becoming President and CEO in 2017, Riechers was the Executive Vice President/Chief Lending Officer.
Riechers is active in the community and financial industry, both locally and nationally. He serves on the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Board of Directors, the Eau Claire Confluence Arts Inc., and the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce. Riechers is the current board chair for the Wisconsin Credit Union League.
