Brett Wier named United Federal Credit Union Vice President of Lending
ST. JOSEPH, MI (August 15, 2016) — United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) has named Brett Wier to the newly-created position of Vice President of Lending. In this role, Wier will be responsible for all initiatives related to indirect, mortgage and business sales throughout UFCU’s six-state footprint.

Wier assumes the new position after serving as market vice president responsible for retail sales and membership growth in southern Berrien County, Indiana, and Ohio since 2012. Wier joined UFCU as manager of the Stevensville branch in 2009. Prior to that, he served as a branch manager at Wells Fargo Financial; director of fundraising for the ACT Network, Bingham Farms, Michigan; assistant golf professional at Victoria National Golf Club, Newburgh, Indiana; and assistant golf professional at Cantigny Golf Club, Wheaton, Illinois.
Wier holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Professional Golf Management from Ferris State University. He sits on the board of directors of the Fun Financial Literacy Institute, and serves as its secretary/treasurer.
Wier and his wife Kristen live in Saint Joseph, Michigan, with their two daughters.
