Scappoose, OR – Buddy Bear, a mascot of St. Helens Community Federal Credit Union (SHCU), hit the streets of Scappoose on Thursday, November 18th to raise awareness for the Columbia Pacific Food Bank. Columbia Pacific Food Bank helps Columbia County families in in need.

To help local families in need during this holiday season, SHCU and Auto Solution are hosting a food drive and fundraising event for the Columbia Pacific Food Bank from November 1st to December 15th at branch locations in Scappoose, St Helens, and Rainier.

The fundraiser has brought in $202 and 1 barrel of non-perishable food as of Monday, November 22nd. SHCU employees are asking the community to assist them with their goal of $500 and 3 barrels of non-perishable food.

Donations of two (or more) non-perishable food items or $4 will receive receipt of donation, mentioned on the credit union lobby TVs, and entry into a drawing for a chance to win one of two $500 Visa gift cards. Entries will be drawn December 17th in time for holiday shopping.
