Canvas Credit Union announces partnership with Colorado High School Activities Association

Credit union begins five-year partnership in support of Colorado youth education and athletics.

Canvas Credit Union, one of Colorado’s leading credit unions for more than 85 years, and the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA), Colorado’s primary source for cultivating an equitable environment for students to further their education through educationally based activities, are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of their official partnership.

CHSAA provides educational and extracurricular activities to all students of the 365 schools and 197 communities they serve across the state, with more than 206,000 students benefiting and more than 192,000 fans attracted to events throughout the year. The wide range of opportunities inspires growth in Colorado youth. As part of the five-year partnership, Canvas and CHSAA will join forces to expand on this mission, providing high-quality opportunities for students of Colorado.

Notably, Canvas will serve as the primary sponsor of this year’s Championship Saturday taking place at Colorado State University’s Canvas Stadium in December. Canvas will also play an important role in other milestone CHSAA events with the goal of supporting Colorado’s youth through financial education and scholarship opportunities. This relationship reinforces Canvas’ commitment to schools, one of their central community pillars.

“Our enthusiasm lies in supporting our Colorado communities with financial guidance and programs that elevate overall well-being,” said Todd Marksberry, president and CEO at Canvas Credit Union. “Empowering students with financial education and guidance is the key to unlocking their potential and securing a brighter future. By joining forces with CHSAA, we firmly believe we can provide these young people with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions and equip them to navigate life’s challenges and achieve their dreams.”

CHSAA selected Canvas as its official partner due to the credit union’s proven dedication to leading with their heart and showing up for the community. CHSAA and Canvas are aligned in their commitment to elevate the future of high school championships and to provide the necessary growth for the demanding population.

“Choosing partners who share our dedication to education and community involvement is of utmost importance, especially when it concerns students. Embracing Canvas into our fold will further enhance our endeavors to invest in the future of our youth and equip them with opportunities for success,” said Michael Krueger, commissioner at CHSAA. “Our partnership with Canvas Credit Union intends to deliver immeasurable value to the 206,000 students throughout the state of Colorado.”

Driven by a deep dedication to the people of Colorado and a passion for creating a meaningful difference throughout the state, this partnership marks a momentous step forward in fostering inclusive access to a well-rounded education for all students.
