Second Annual Canvas Credit Union Day of Service rallied volunteers in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., Day to donate goods to local Colorado charities.
“Martin Luther King Jr. said it so well, ‘Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve,’” said Malcolm Johnson, Director of Public Relations & Community Involvement at Canvas Credit Union. “It’s just a great feeling to give back to the communities we serve. What an ideal day to spread hope to people in need.”
More than two dozen Canvas employees volunteered on MLK Day, shopping for staples and delivering them to four Colorado Charities. Volunteers purchased over $1,000 worth of pantry goods and baby necessities, and delivered them to the following organizations:
- Family Promise of Greater Denver
- TLC Meals on Wheels in Centennial
- A Precious Child in Broomfield
- UCHealth Family Medicine Center Food Pantry in Fort Collins
