Canyon State Credit Union donates over 200,000 diapers to Child Crisis Arizona & AZ Helping Hands

PHOENIX, AZ (January 3, 2018) — Canyon State Credit Union is committed to a cause, committed to a purpose and committed to success. Thanks to the generosity of our members, staff and partners, Canyon State Credit Union delivered over 200,000 diapers during KTAR’s Mac & Gaydos’ annual Caring for Kids event benefitting Child Crisis Arizona and Arizona Helping Hands.

Jane Dobbs, President and CEO, said “At the end of the day, we are really serving the community and the children.  These children are going  to grow up and be the people who are going to lead this country and we want to make sure we are providing the best kind of items for them.  Our tagline at Canyon State is Committed To YOU™.   In addition to being committed to our members, we are committed to the communities we serve.  We believe it is our responsibility to give back to our communities and that includes helping children right here where we live and work – making a difference for our neighbors.”

Child Crisis Arizona provides hope and services to vulnerable children and families. Child Crisis Arizona operates the only emergency shelters for children in the Valley, is a leading resource to license, train and support foster and adoptive families and provides early childhood education through a preschool, parenting classes, workshops and playgroups.  Jodi Stoken,  Chief Development Officer, stated “I am thrilled with the outpouring of donations.  These donations make a huge difference in our effort to help children and families who are struggling.

Arizona Helping Hands assists foster families who have provided a safe environment for children in the Arizona Department of Child Safety system.  Dan Schufelt, CEO, stated “We endeavor to make lives better for kids in foster care.  I am blown away by how generous the Phoenix community is to Caring for Kids!!”
