Capital Credit Union today announced the hiring of Kevin Strege as chief lending officer. Strege has more than 30 years of professional experience in the financial services industry.
As chief lending officer, Strege will oversee Capital Credit Union’s lending culture, credit quality and portfolio management, as well as new business development and ongoing relationship management for the business services and mortgage lending departments.
“We are thrilled Kevin has joined our team,” says Capital Credit Union CEO Vance Reinbold. “He has a very strong financial services background and, as chief lending officer, will be an integral part of helping our members grow and thrive.”

Strege joins the Capital Credit Union team from Cornerstone Bank, where he had been business banking manager since 2015. During his tenure at Cornerstone Bank, Strege managed the largest and most complex credits in Cornerstone’s western ND markets. He has held various positions in the financial services industry since 1985, including market manager at Bremer Bank in Bismarck and business banking manager at Wells Fargo Bank in Bismarck. He is currently board treasurer of the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC and serves on the Bismarck Vision Fund board.
Strege earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He lives in Bismarck and has two grown children who both live in the Fargo area.
