Carolina Foothills Federal Credit Union staff earn Certified Financial Counselor designation

SPARTANBURG, SC (January 20, 2017) — In October 2016, twelve employees of Carolina Foothills Federal Credit Union successfully passed the required exams to earn the designation of Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC). This certification allows CFFCU to better serve their membership by offering competent, reliable, and personal finan- cial guidance to reach their goals.

“Our credit union strives to provide superior service to enhance the financial futures of our member-owners and their families,” said Scott Weaver, President/CEO of Carolina Foothills. “By putting our staff members through this rigorous training and certification process, we will be more effective in coaching the member to financial wellness. We look at this as an investment in our staff that will reap huge rewards for our members and our community at large!”

The Enhanced Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (FiCEP) program is a unique partnership between the National Credit Union Foundation and Credit Union National Association’s Center for Professional Development.
