Carrie Fisher appointed as Advisory Director to TDECU Board of Directors

LAKE JACKSON, TX (February 24, 2016) — Carrie Fisher has been appointed by TDECU’s Board of Directors to serve in the capacity of Advisory Director. Her appointment is effective as of 2015 and includes a two-year term.

TDECU’s Advisory Board is comprised of accomplished business professionals whose proven talents in strategy, innovation and leadership are leveraged to create a unique strategic resource for the credit union. The Advisory Board both complements and strengthens the governance and planning efforts of the Board of Directors and TDECU’s Executive Team, and provides fresh perspectives on how to achieve the credit union’s mission of serving its membership.

About Carrie

TDECU welcomed Carrie Fisher as an Advisory Board Member in 2015. Carrie sits on both the Finance and the Strategic Initiatives committees for the credit union and holds the position of Senior Vice President, Ecommerce and Chief Marketing Officer for Fossil. Prior to her position with the Dallas-based retailer, Carrie held senior-level leadership roles with Travelocity, Dean Foods and Bain & Company.

Carrie graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s of business administration in management information systems from Texas A&M University and went on to earn her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She volunteers with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, serves as an interviewer for admissions to the Kellogg School of Management, and acts as a mentor for both Texas A&M University and the Kellogg MBA programs.

Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, Carrie now resides in Dallas.
